Eye Exams and Contact Fittings

Dr. Greitzer provides general eye exams, as well as expert contact lens fittings.  Lenses for astigmatism are no challenge at all and we fit multifocals and monovision techniques, to rid you of reading glasses.

Dr. Greitzer is the most respected and experienced doctor in town, available week days for your exam, and walk-ins are welcomed even though appointments are easy to get and always are the priority.

He also treats medical eye conditions, and co-manages laser refractive surgery as well as cataract surgery, with ophthalmology. Located conveniently at the top of Greenwich Avenue, where street parking is readily available.

Same Day Eyewear

With Neil, our State Licensed Optician, heading up our on site laboratory, and so in most cases we can make your glasses in under an hour.

Also, if your exact contact lenses aren’t in stock, we provide a free temporary disposable pair, expecting your lenses to arrive by the next day!

We repair and replace frames, and can duplicate your prescription right from your old glasses, or be examined if you’re due.

Both Dr. Greitzer and Neil live in Manhattan, and so routinely offer same evening deliveries.

Walk-Ins and Appointments

Dr. Greitzer is available to see patients 5 days-a-week.  Weekdays, except Wednesday, from 9:30 till 6:00 PM, and on Saturdays from 10:00-5:00  This more than any other practitioner in Greenwich.

We gladly accept walk-ins, but appointments are preferred to ensure you of prompt service, providing general/routine eye exams as well as contact lens fittings, and we treat medical eye conditions as well.

We accept many insurance for your medical visits and participate in both VSP [Vision Service Plan] and Eye Med,  for your routine eyecare and eyeglasses.

We stock many brands and types of contact lenses on the premises, and can almost always offer a temporary replacement, even for hard lenses, until your specific order arrives, generally the next day, at no additional charge to you!
